Senior Radiographer + RIS/PACS Lead

I am delighted to partner with a leading Hospital in the south of Ireland to fill this unique and important role in their growing Radiography department.
This opportunity allows a Senior Radiographer to retain and build upon both their PACS experience and their clinical hands-on skills.

The role is 0.5 wte PACS and 0.5 wte Clinical duties in a suitable modality dependent upon background and interests.

Key responsibilities – PACS Related

  • Lead and oversee the day to day operation of the PACS service.
  • Take responsibility for PACS administration and daily maintenance / housekeeping
  • Be the key stakeholder / point of contact for the Radiography department and the Hospital in all PACS related matters.
  • Manage user access, permissions and audit in relation to PACS.
  • Provide training to new users – General, Clinician, Radiologist, Administrator
  • Manage image transfer processes
  • Advise on and take lead on implementation of any process improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate future PACS service development – upgrades, replacement, training, testing, etc

The role will also include a 0.5wte clinical requirement which will be discussed with the successful candidate with regards to their expertise and interests.
