Senior MRI Radiographer / Safety Officer

An important role in an expanding Radiography department in a high tech Hospital environment.

  • plan + deliver service in a patient focused, safe and efficient manner.
  • show effective communication skills across different audiences.
  • lead, guide, develop + supervise radiographers + other staff.

Specific Experience:

  • Provide leadership in the delivery of MRI services.
  • Develop and implement MRI safety procedures.
  • Work closely with colleagues, e.g. Medical Physics, Clinical Specialist MRI Radiographers in developing, and delivering safe working procedures for all MRI activities.
  • Ensuring all members of MDT who are working in MR environment are aware of the importance of adherence to safety requirements.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all clinical, technical and radiographic developments in relation to MRI and communicate relevant updates to colleagues.
  • Implement + maintain an appropriate quality assurance programme within the MRI department.
  • Participate in relevant Clinical Audits.
  • Develop and manage a training + education function in the MRI department.

Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography.
  • Qualification must be recognised and validated by CORU
  • Post Grad MRI or MRI Safety qualification an advantage
  • A minimum of 6 years working at a Senior level in MRI Specialism.
