Senior Cardiac Physiologist – Echocardiography
We are partnering with a major Hospital, renowned for investment in latest technology, in the South of Ireland to add to their Cardiac team due to service expansion. We are now recruiting a Senior Cardiac Physiologist with expertise in Echocardiography to join this growing team to work with a team of Cardiologists that is also expanding.
The Department:
The Department provides a full range of cardiac non-invasive and invasive investigations and treatments including ECG, Exercise Stress Testing, Ambulatory Monitoring, Device follow up clinics, Transthoracic and Transoesophageal echo, Angiography, PCI, EP studies and ablation; Loop, Pacemaker and ICD Implants.
The Role:
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Cardiac Department to provide expertise in:
- ECG
- Ambulatory Monitoring.
- Transthoracic and Transoesophageal Echocardiography (in clinic and Cath lab).
- Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms.
- Exercise Stress Echocardiograms.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Cardiac Physiologist your duties will include:
- Manage your own clinic work load effectively and efficiently.
- Provide support & staff supervision
- Be an inspirational mentor to junior staff including participation in staff training.
- Ensure clinical leadership within echocardiography and non-invasive testing is to a consistent high standard.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience with a significant portion of this time in Echocardiography.
- Current authorisation to work in Ireland is essential (e.g. EU or UK national or an existing work authorisation). Work Permits / Visa’s will not be processed for this role.
- Current BSE (British Society of Echocardiography) or EACVI (European Society of Cardiology) Accreditation.
