We are currently assisting General Practices/Family Medicine clinics in Cork and Kerry who are seeking compassionate and clinically confident Registered Nurses.

The successful candidate will provide safe, evidence-based nursing care across the patient life course, support prevention and health promotion, and work closely with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team.

  • Undertake routine clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, wound care and dressings, ECGs, health checks and other services appropriate to the practice skill mix.
  • Support preventive healthcare, screening and health promotion, including relevant women’s and men’s health services and cervical screening where trained and authorised.
  • Provide patient education and self-management support, promoting healthy lifestyles, adherence and appropriate use of primary care services.
  • Maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical records and contribute to audit, quality improvement, infection prevention and governance activities.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, practice staff and community services, communicating concerns promptly and contributing to safe referral and care pathways.
  • Help maintain clinical supplies, equipment and vaccine cold-chain processes, and contribute to a safe, organised treatment environment.

Key requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
  • Relevant post-registration nursing experience; experience in general practice, primary care, community nursing or a closely related setting is desirable
