Medical Scientist – Histology

I am delighted to be partnering with a leading modern Hospital in Dublin to fill this role of Medical Scientist – Histology.
This Hospital is renowned for its continuous investment in advanced equipment and in staff development.

Duties:

• Perform laboratory tests in a Histology lab as well as the processing and the authorising under the direction of the Laboratory Manager.
• Carry out laboratory work in accordance with INAB & JCI Accreditation Standards.
• An ability to multitask in a busy lab environment.
• Manage laboratory stocks
• Record and report non-conformances + defects in supplies + equipment.
• Participate in research projects with multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Ensure adherence to and implementation of quality management programmes.
• Take part in QC and QA projects.

Requirements:

• CORU Registration / ACSLM membership.

Experience

• a minimum of 1 year experience in a Histology lab.
• Experience in Cut Up – preferred, not essential
• Experience with laboratory information systems.
