Medical Scientist
We are currently partnering with Major Public Hospitals in Dublin to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Medical Scientists across a range of disciplines.
Requirements:
Our current requirements are for Medical Scientists who have specialist experience in one of the following areas:
- Histology
or
- Clinical Chemistry / Haematology
or
- Microbiology
Duties:
- Participate in the delivery of a quality laboratory service that supports the clinical needs of the hospital’s patients
- Perform assigned work to the highest professional standard in accordance with ISO 15189 and laboratory SOPs.
- Ensure that procedures are carried out in compliance with national and international guidelines and actively participate in internal and external quality control and quality assurance.
- Be familiar with and duly implement all documented procedures and policies of the department.
- Perform analytical testing appropriate to a multi-disciplinary laboratory.
- Perform all activities related to the receipt, analysis and reporting of laboratory specimens.
- Perform all activities related to Reagent and Stock Management.
Qualifications / Certifications:
- Relevant Hon’s Degree.
- Be registered or be in process to register on the Medical Scientists Register maintained by the Medical Scientists Registration Board at CORU. See https://coru.ie/health-and-socialcare-professionals/registration-for-medical-scientists/
