Dietitian – Obesity Services

I am delighted to be partnering with a leading modern Dublin Hospital in their current search for a registered Dietitian. The successful candidate will work with the Obesity service working as part of an MDT with patients undergoing a weight management programme or bariatric surgery.

Role Summary:
Work as part of a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to provide specialist nutrition assessment, care and advise to patients of the Obesity Service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised nutrition plans and interventions to pre and post bariatric surgery patients.
  • Provide Specialist input to MDT colleagues, e.g. Surgeons, Doctors, Psychologists, Nurses etc.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and guide patients through their pre-op and sustainable post-op dietary and nutrition journey.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes and provide feedback to MDT to inform quality improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver patient education in 1:1 and group settings.

Requirements
Essential:

  • Relevant BSc. / Diploma
  • CORU Registration is essential
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant post – qualification experience to include weight management and bariatric surgery support.

Preferred:

  • Relevant MSc – e.g. Clinical Nutrition or Obesity Management, or similar.
  • Membership of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute.
