CT Radiographer – Clinical Specialist
I am delighted to be partnering with a leading Private Hospital group who are currently in a large expansion phase right across their Radiography department. As a Clinical Specialist CT Radiographer you will ‘lead by example’, taking responsibility for service delivery within the CT unit.
Ensure a ‘patient first’ culture, being accountable for quality of service.
As well as being a CT Specialist, you should have the potential and desire to lead and mentor a team of Radiographers, taking ownership for service delivery.
Role Summary:
- Responsible for CT service and the correct utilisation of all resources, human, equipment etc.
- Add value in developing and implementing operational policies and protocols
- Provide input to decisions on new equipment selection and purchase, upgrading or replacement etc.
- Provide input to service and financial plans and monitoring thereof.
- Remain expert in all new developments in CT, ensuring department is aware of all relevant advancements in process, technology etc.
- Advise and lead on training requirements / opportunities as required.
- Ensure competence of staff in intravenous cannulation within the CT department.
- Work with Clinical Specialist across other Radiography Units to ensure a smooth rotation of staff.
- Ensure Radiation safety standards are adhered to.
Requirements:
- BSc(Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
- Postgraduate qualification in CT.
- CORU registration.
- Management course (desirable) but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 6 years post internship experience with a minimum of 3 years in a CT Specialist role.
- Demonstrated experience in most of: intravenous cannulation and contrast administration, biopsies in CT, cardiac CT and virtual colonoscopy.
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
