Clinical Specialist Radiographer PET CT
I am delighted to be partnering with a leading Private Hospital in the south of Ireland to fill this important role in their Radiography department.
The successful applicant for the role of Clinical Specialist Radiographer in PET CT requires an ability to lead, to guide and to supervise Radiographic staff whilst successfully managing service delivery on a day to day basis.
Responsibilities:
- Management of PET CT patients along with the CT Clinical Specialist.
- Responsible as an experienced Nuclear Medicine Lead for the PET CT department.
- Carry out PET CT nuclear medicine processes +training.
- Take lead on radiation safety matters for the nuclear medicine process within PET CT.
- Manage + continuously develop the PET CT QA programme + Nuclear Medicine Lab QA programme.
- Dispensing and administer FDG or other isotope.
- Provide clinical leadership in the delivery of an effective, efficient, patient centred and quality assured PET CT service.
- Organise, plan and prioritise workload according to clinical need.
- Undertake, as team leader, primary responsibility on a day-to-day basis for the PET CT imaging service and the effective utilisation of all resources allocated.
- Advise on equipment selection, purchase, replacement or upgrading.
- Assess patient’s suitability for I.V. injections by checking Renal functions and any contra-indications.
Requirements:
- a relevant Degree in Radiography
- CORU Registration as a Radiographer is essential
- A minimum of 5 years relevant post qualification relevant clinical experience
- A relevant postgraduate course in CT or Nuclear Medicine is an advantage.
