I am delighted to partner with a leading Hospital in their search for a Chief Cardiac Physiologist.

Duties:

  • This post is responsible for ensuring the provision of a high quality, patient-focussed cardiac diagnostics service.
  • Take responsibility for the co-ordination and the delivery of a non-invasive Cardiac Physiologist service.
  • The post holder will be expected to contribute to the development and improvement of services within the non-invasive Cardiac Physiologist team.
  • Work closely with Cardiology Consultant on all requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor Cardiac Physiologist team.
  • Manage own caseload as well as the planning, implementation and evaluation of cardiac diagnostic services within the department.
  • Provide hands-on as well as leadership duties in the following areas:
    • EchoCardiography
    • Transthoracic echocardiography
    • transoesophageal echocardiography (assist)
    • Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography (assist)
    • Resting ECG
    • Exercise treadmill testing,
    • Fit and analyse ambulatory ECG + BP devices.
    • Pacemaker + ICD / CRT – complete follow-up and reports.

Requirements:

  • Expert hands-on knowledge of a wide range of services in a non-invasive Cardiac Physiologists team
  • IICMP Recognition of Qualifications (if qualifications gained outside of Ireland).
  • Team lead / Supervisor experience of a team of Cardiac Physiologists / interns / students.
  • Proven vision to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
