Senior Speech & Language Therapist
I am partnering with a private service to appoint a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to their established, highly skilled team.
This role has responsibility for working with inpatients and outpatients.
Sample Duties:
- Assess, treat and advise patients presenting with swallowing and/or communication challenges.
- Carry out video fluoroscopy, analyse and report findings.
- Provide SLT education including awareness of swallow screening across MDT.
- As a senior SLT, present and manage opportunities to continuously improve the service to inpatients, outpatients and multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Build and nurture mutually rewarding relationships with multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Work with Management to further develop the service
- Continuous attendance at internal and external training to maintain and enhance up to date skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- a relevant Hons degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- CORU registration is essential.
- A minimum of 4 years relevant experience working with inpatients and outpatients in a multidisciplinary team environment, including experience in dysphagia, dysphonia and acquired disorders.
- Tracheostomy weaning experience is preferred
