Senior Respiratory Physiologist

I am delighted to partner with a leading Hospital in Cork to fill the role of Senior Respiratory Physiologist.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a lead role in a leading Pulmonary lab where there is a genuine, warm, team-centred, patient-centred culture.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Pulmonary Laboratory, the technical staff and the Clinical workload.
  • Manage quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) requirements of the Pulmonary Laboratory.
  • Manage relationships with relevant Consultants Management in the strategic planning of services.
  • Take responsibility for the clinical output from the Pulmonary Laboratory.
  • Manage a range of diagnostic tests including measurement, recording + analysis of pulmonary function tests using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Work with the Respiratory Clinical Lead in developing and implementing evidence based protocols for the department.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Clinical Measurement or equivalent
  • If qualified outside of Ireland, recognition by IICMP, the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS) is an advantage.
  • Certificate in Medical Physics and Psychological Measurement (MPPM) or equivalent

or

  • an equivalent relevant scientific qualification (Level 8).
  • a minimum of 5 years relevant post qualification experience, including experience in a Senior role.
