Position: Senior House Officer (Medical & Surgical) – Immediate Start
Department: Medical and Surgical
Hours: 39 hours/week
Remuneration: Competitive, based on experience
Contract Length: Initial 6 Months with a view to permanency
Requirements:
- Irish Medical Council Registration (Active Status)
- Considerable post-internship experience (Medicine & Surgery)
- Previous experience in an Irish hospital setting (Desirable but not essential).
- Valid IELTS/OET result (the two accepted standards are IELTS overall band 7, not less than 6.5 in each do-main or OET Grade B Overall)
- MRCP, BLS & ACLS (Desirable but not essential)
- Ability to start in January or February 2025 (Required)
IMPORTANT – Applications will be deemed unsuccessful if they fail to meet the above requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in line with the Hospital’s mission and values.
- Perform patient assessments, document histories, and physical exams.
- Prescribe medications and manage patient care under consultant supervision.
- Participate in ward rounds and assist in clinical procedures.
- Ensure smooth discharge processes with accurate documentation.
- Contribute to continuous professional education and quality improvement.
- Promote patient safety and participate in risk management initiatives.
