MRI Lead Radiographer
You will be the leader, the guide and team mentor that ensures the successful provision of MRI services to our client’s patients. Our client is a leading, world renowned Private Hospital with a reputation for continuous investment in leading edge equipment and services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic + clinical leadership resulting in the delivery of an efficient, effective, quality assured + patient centred MRI service.
- Carry out both general + highly complex MRI to a high standard.
- Organise, plan + prioritise departmental workload.
- Ensure the effective utilisation of all the resources allocated to the Magnetic Resonance Imaging service.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day quality of the service provided, to include customer service + technical / Clinical aspects.
- Contribute to the developing and implementing of operational policies, protocols + guidelines.
- Advise on equipment selection, decision making on purchase, replacement or upgrading.
- Contribute to preparing of plans for the MRI service – monitor + report on the implementation. Implement + maintain accurate information systems for clinical.
- Manage use of consumables efficiently.
- Implement a continuous learning programme for all the staff to keep up to date on MRI Safety issues.
- Co-ordinate on the rotation of staff through the Radiography Department to ensure an adequate number of cross trained staff are available
- Be responsible for Quality and Health Safety Management within MRI area.
- Have a working knowledge of HIQA, EPA & JCI Accreditation Standards as they apply to the role.
- Participate in staff planning, recruitment and selection of staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
CORU Registration is essential
A minimum of 5 years Specialist experience as an MRI Practitioner.
Ideally, possess a recognised postgraduate course in MRI.
